Saleh Saterstrom is an American author, originally from the south. Her work has twice been nominated for the Believer Book Award. She is an associate professor in the University of Denver's creative writing department.
At MacDowell, she completed a draft of her second novel, wrote an essay, and created contemporary text/image work that will appear in "Tarpaulin Sky." Her first novel, "The Pink Institution," was published in 2004 by Coffee House Press.

MacDowell and friends originally named this studio in memory of Anna Baetz, the
nurse who helped care for Edward MacDowell in the waning years of his
life.
With
generous support from the Garland family, the studio was renovated in
2013 and renamed the Peter and Mary Garland Studio. The inward
opening, diamond-pane windows were replaced…
