At MacDowell, Soonjung Suh completed his Piano Concerto which was premiered by the Manhattan Composers Orchestra, New York in 2003.
His Orchestra piece, Yu-Hyum, received the IK-Tae Ahm Award from the Korea Times in 2002. Recent performances of Suh's works have included the KBS Symphony Orchestra and Vega Quartet in Seoul, Boston, New York, and Los Angeles.
Soonjung Suh worked in the Watson studio.
Built in 1916 in memory of Regina Watson of Chicago, a musician and teacher, this studio was donated by a group of her friends, along with funds for its maintenance.
