Steve Chang is a Taiwanese writer and educator from the San Gabriel Valley, CA. His writing appears in Epiphany, Guernica, North American Review, and The Southampton Review, and has been commended by The Iron Horse Prize, The Halifax Ranch Fiction Prize, the Ploughshares Emerging Writers Contest, and even by (some of) his friends.

He is thankful for the support offered by a MacDowell Fellowship and the Carolyn Moore Writers House. He edits fiction at Okay Donkey and holds an M.F.A. from Cornell.

While in residence, Chang worked on revisions to Tell Me What I'm Waiting For, a collection of linked fictions about criminality, minor apocalypses, and the Asian diaspora.

Studios

New Jersey

Steven Chang worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
