Tanu Sankalia worked on a project that examines slots or interstitial spaces in San Francisco. This was the subject of an exhibition he curated in February 2010 titled "The Urban Unseen." He teaches architecture, urban design, and city planning at the University of San Francisco.

New Jersey

Tanu Sankalia worked in the New Jersey studio.

The yellow clapboard New Jersey Studio, located on a grassy, sloping site, was funded by the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs and built as an exact replica of Monday Music Studio (1913).
