Teresa Cader is a poet and the author of the books of poetry The History of Hurricanes (2009), Guests (1991), and The Paper Wasp (1999). She is recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship; Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America; The Journal Award in Poetry; Bunting Institute Fellowship in Poetry; and many other awards and fellowships. She has taught at MIT, Emerson College, and the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and now serves on the faculty for the creative writing M.F.A. program at Lesley University.

Veltin

Teresa Cader worked in the Veltin studio.

Veltin Studio was donated by alumni of the Veltin School, a school for girls in New York with a highly respected visual arts department. As the plaque just outside the entrance attests, this studio was used by poet Edwin Arlington Robinson during most of the 24 summers he spent at MacDowell.
