Victoria Newton Ford is a poet from Memphis, TN. Her work has been supported by Tin House Summer Writers Workshop, the Vermont Studio Center, The Watering Hole, The Hurston/Wright Writers Workshop, and Lambda Literary. She earned her B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing from the University of Pennsylvania.
While at MacDowell, she worked on her first manuscript, which centers on Black mothers and their daughters, captivity, and haunting.

Mansfield War Service Classes for Reconstruction Aides. Helen
Mansfield helped found the New York MacDowell Club.
