Wende Bartley is a Canadian acoustic and electroacoustic composer living and working in Toronto. Bartley studied composition at McGill University, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, York University in Toronto, and the Banff Center for the arts. Bartley has been commissioned through the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Ontario Arts Council, and her works have been broadcast throughout North American and Europe. Bartley’s work has been performed at numerous venues, including the at:Sound Symposium (St John’s, NF),CEC Electroacoustic Days, Music Gallery (Toronto),Vancouver New Music Society, the International Computer Music Conference in Montréal, the Glenn Gould Festival in Toronto, and the New Music Across America Festival in Vancouver. Bartley is an associate composer of the Canadian Music Centre, and a member of the Canadian Electroacoustic Community.
