Author and oral historian Yvonne McBride is an alum of the Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation (VONA), a Flight School Fellow, and a recipient of the Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments.
At MacDowell, McBride worked on her debut novel, tentatively titled, Cozy Lee Luke at the Crossroads of the World, a story that chronicles Cozy Luke's life in Pittsburgh's Hill District during the jazz era.

Delta
Omicron Studio was funded by members of the international musical fraternity in
1927. The building design is somewhat medieval in character, with an
unusual cedar shingle pattern, a steeply pitched slate roof,
intersecting gables, and small windows.
