Ziui Chen Vance is a visual artist working in new media content whose work has been exhibited in the Michener Art Museum and collected by The Newark Museum of Art. Ziui Chen Vance received an Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation individual grant in 2022, a Sustainable Art Foundation Grant in 2023, and an Independent Fellowship from the Independence Foundation in 2024.

Her paintings and augmented reality installations are expanding institutional and public space across the Philadelphia region, with her recent installation in the Philadelphia International Airport being the first to combine painting and augmented reality in an installation in the airport.

While at MacDowell, Vance completed her visual essay, which included 35 sequential illustrative ink drawings. The essay reflected the artist's imagined reencounters with her internal society. A peripatetic diaspora traveler, Vance's oeuvre was inspired by many experiences and memories of her youth, her roots in China, and her life in the United States.

Ziui Chen Vance worked in the New Hampshire studio.

New Hampshire Studio, originally named Peterborough Studio, was given to MacDowell by Mr. and Mrs. William Schofield, Mrs. H. A. Chamberlain, Mrs. Andrew Draper, and Miss Ruth Cheney.
