Nonfiction writer Zusha Elinson is a national reporter at the Wall Street Journal where he covers guns and crime.
During his time at MacDowell, Zusha worked alongside nonfiction writer and MacDowell Fellow Cameron McWhirter, to complete their co-authored manuscript for American Gun. The book, was published by Farrar Straus & Giroux in 2023, and tells the full history and societal impact of “the gun that divided America” – the AR-15 rifle.
Sorosis
Studio was funded by the New York Carol Club of Sorosis. The small,
masonry studio was designed by F. Winsor, Jr., the architect who also
designed Savidge Library (1926) and Mixter Studio (1927).
