Indifferent Forest, a dance performance by Bebe Miller at Danspace Project, NYC

Past Fellows Event

Indifferent Forest is a new dance work-in-progress in development by Bebe Miller, Michelle Boulé, Angie Hauser and Darrell Jones. It is being presented as part of a Danspace Project commission for PLATFORM 2024: A Delicate Ritual, curated by choreographer Kyle Abraham. Performances are June 6-8 at Danspace Project, NYC.

Kyle’s prompt—how does nature’s relationship with humanity communicate/jostle/live in your body—resonates with/rubs up against my own experience, both as a MacDowell Fellow in residence last fall and now living in a forest on Vashon Island WA:

“The world doesn’t wait for an explanation, and yet we persist. Our living together depends on the generative rub between us, in relation to the moment at hand; our dancing together depends on the same. We’re counting on the ground between us all to take us home.”
